I was at Plug and Play last Friday to attend the first TechCrunch KL Meetup, organized by Daniel from Entrepreneurs.my. People from all nations (Malaysian, Iran, and others I don’t remember) gathered to share a thing or two about their startups. Here are some Malaysian startups as far as I could remember:

1. Malaysia Crime
   Malaysia Crime is a website that shows crime reports in Malaysia on a map.
2. Highrise.my
   Highrise creates a private social intranet for your residence. Share, organize, discuss and manage everything that is essential to your residential community.
3. HackerSpace KL
   HackerspaceKL is a community-oriented hackerspace where people make creative things with technology. It will be a place for hackers, coders, geeks, makers, nerds, artists, students, and everyone from all walks of life to hang out and meet each other, work on projects and meet people with similar interest, conduct lectures, workshops, and tutorials, and share knowledge and resources such as electronic equipments, computer devices, and other gadgets. You can always come to one of the workshops or any other activities that is going on, including teh-tarik sessions.
4. Terato Tech
   Malaysian iPhone developers.
5. OfficeKami
   Find your mobile office spot that is with wifi: cafes, restaurants, etc.
