S’up, I am your host, Victor Ng from Malaysia. This is my personal ranting space. You can find me talking most about technology, politics, business, ethics, culture, and just anything that urges me to write about. I don’t post every single day, but when I post one, that’s when the post really matters, either it gives me excitement, or it gives me pain.

Past

Prior to founding Qhuen, I was working for a Japanese industrial plant engineering firm in Singapore (which I hated it) as a Construction Engineer. I was also a freelance web designer who built websites for small businesses, non-profit organizations and personal projects.

Present

I am the founder of Qhuen, a website for trip-sharing. I am still a freelance web developer and designer. I am getting my hands dirty on Ruby on Rails.

Future

I hope to be a tech journalist and a venture capitalist, or just a dreamer.

Music

I love music. You can find me playing the guitar and singing in my room every day. Mainstream modern rock, pop rock, alternative, bossa nova are my favorite genres. Some of my favorite music are from Daughtry, David Cook, The Calling, Lifehouse, Dishwalla, Kelly Clarkson, Elisa Toffoli, Avril Lavigne, My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park… I was in two bands, Navi-L and Scarlett Letter, as lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist. Sometimes if you are in luck, I will post my band videos on YouTube.

Soccer

I started playing soccer since 10. I am a die hard Liverpool FC fan. My favorite players are Steven Gerrard and the el-nino Fernando Torres. (Sorry Torres, you betrayed Liverpool and made lots of noise after your transfer to Chelsea. Now I dislike you.)

Academic

I graduated from University Technology of Petronas, Malaysia, with a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons.) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
